BAPU BATA - LIVING GANDHIAN WAY

Gandhi King Foundation launched BAPU BATA - LIVING GANDHIAN WAY program on September 11, birthday of Acharya Vinoba Bhave, disciple of Mahatma Gandi.  This date also signifies the birth of SATYAGRAHA the greatest gift of Mahatma Gandhi to mankind in 1906 in Johannesburg, South Africa.  This program concluded on October 2, Birthday of Mahatma Gandhi and International Day of Nonviolence.  During the 22-day observation the participants take an oath of Truth, Nonviolence, avoiding smoking and drinking, use of Swadeshi Products, wear Khadi clothes,  respecting and caring women, elderly and children, plant five saplings and take care of them, work for equality of all human beings, Learn National Language - Hindi, do bread labor.

The Program started at VASORD Office in Burujugadda, Shamshabad Mandal in Rangareddy District.  The participants participated in programs in Gandhi Darshan, Hyderabad, Bapu Ghat in Langar House, Hyderabad, Gandhi Temple, Chityal, Vinoba Mandir in Bhoodan Pochampalli.  The final program was in Sevagram Ashram in Maharashtra where the participants concluded the 'Deeksha' with the blessings from Sri Jayawant Mathkar, President of Ashram Pratishthan, Sevagram.
